  • Born in Zagreb in 1974
  • Started playing the tamburitza with his father, at the age of 3
  • At the age of 8, took on the violin in an elementary school of music
  • At the age of 16, he was the youngest member of the unique Croatian Radio and Television Tamburitza Orchestra. He spent five years with the Orchestra, performing in about 100 concerts every year, and contributing to about 20 CDs and about 1,000 minutes of recorded archived material
  • At the same time, he studied the double-bass and graduated from the Music Academy in Zagreb
  • In 1998, still a student at the Academy, he was engaged as a member of the Croatian National Theatre’s Opera Orchestra in Zagreb as the solo bassist
  • He has also been teaching at the Music School in Samobor
  • He plays with the Chamber Orchestra and the Zagreb Quartet
  • In 2001, he enrolled in the graduate program for the double bass at the Music Conservatory in Bern, as well as in the conducting and jazz programs
  • He has continuously been perfecting his skills through numerous concerts and performances with the greatest names of classical music (Ernesto Molinari, Maxim Vengerov, Kaspar Zehnder, Zsolt Nagy….)
  • He has toured with Stefanom Tönz, Thomas Fuehri, Thomas Demenga
  • He is a member of the Swiss Chamber Orchestra, Bern Chamber Orchestra, Bern Symphony Orchestra
  • He is permanently engaged as a double-bass professor at the Music Conservatory in Fribourg
  • He has founded and is a member of various ensembles
